Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the New Orleans Convention Center hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were spacious, which was a plus, but the cleanliness was lacking a bit, needing a good deep cleaning and carpets deodorized. The service, unfortunately, fell short with rude staff and issues accommodating orders. On the bright side, the hotel's location was excellent for accessing tourist attractions, but during busy hours, management could be better. The dining options were limited but enjoyable, except for some noisy neighbors. Overall, the hotel had its ups and downs.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were quite outdated and in need of immediate upgrades, but the room I was eventually moved to was clean, spacious, and even had a sitting room and balcony. The service was a hit or miss - while some staff, especially Ms. Diane, were always courteous and helpful, others seemed indifferent and just doing their job without much consideration for guests. The location was ideal for easy access to the convention center and major attractions, making it convenient for exploring. The dining experience was good overall with a variety of choices, but lacked flavored coffee creamer and served lukewarm coffee. Despite some areas needing improvement, the hotel provided access to all we wanted, and I could easily get around NOLA from there.
My stay at The Mercantile Hotel was delightful! The front desk crew was great, and my room was spacious, clean, and equipped with a fridge and microwave. The location was perfect for easy access to the convention center and a pleasant walk to Jackson Square and the French Quarter. However, note that the Riverwalk was closed for renovation in 2021. The dining experience was excellent with made-to-order omelettes and attentive service, but more options would be appreciated for the price. I also found the service to be friendly and professional, with the staff taking care of my room needs efficiently. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay with just a few minor downsides.
